Norfolk Rotary Charities 2022-2023 Grant Guidelines & Application
The Rotary Club of Norfolk is the oldest and largest community service club in Coastal Virginia. Thanks to generous donors, Norfolk Rotary Charities, its nonprofit affiliate, and its endowment, The Rotary Club of Norfolk annually awards grants to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations doing great work in our community. Over the last three years during the difficult Covid Epidemic over $100,000 in grants were awarded. Rotary International is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever.
In 2023 grants are available to nonprofit organizations working to improve life in South Hampton Roads. Our typical grant size is $1,000 to $5,000.
Applications must be emailed by COB (close of business) February 14, 2023. The application form is on the next page front and back sides.
All applicants must:
1. Be an established 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working in South Hampton Roads. (Note: There is a preference for organizations working regionally or primarily in Norfolk)
2. Apply for funding for either: (a) specific supplies, equipment or tangible items (Note: we will not fund salaries, scholarships or general operating expenses) (b) operating costs for an innovative program targeting unique client needs
3. Complete the application below and email it by the deadline. (Please DO NOT submit additional materials such as annual reports, newsletters, Form 990s, etc.)
4. Be willing to speak to the Rotary Club of Norfolk and share information about how the grant would help your organization accomplish its mission. 5. Have not received a Grant in the last two years from The Norfolk Charities.
