Keep Norfolk Beautiful's Special Waste Collection Event is a drive-thru and drop-off household hazardous waste, electronics, plastic bags and film, and more. The event will also feature secure, on-site document shredding.
This event is very hands-on and requires volunteers who are able to lift 20 pounds, attentive, energetic, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts.
Closed toe shoes are required. Please bring your own water bottle; a refill station will be available. A Keep Norfolk Beautiful team member will provide a safety briefing upon your arrival the morning of the event.
Halloween costumes are encouraged as long as you they are appropriate, do not have masks, and do not inhibit your movement.
We ask all volunteers to arrive no later than 8:10am and stay until we are done around 1pm.
