One on One Reading Support at Ingleside Elementary

 Our January club service project is one on one reading, Wednesday, January 15 , 10:30 - 11:45am at Ingleside Elementary School in Norfolk.  Please arrive at the school by 10:15 to get checked in.   We are volunteering through the Life Enrichment Center, a 2024 Norfolk Rotary grant recipient.  They will provide a book, which you'll read with your assigned student. 

 

Dr. Joy will provide a small reflection to complete with the student after reading. She is compiling a small gift bag with a few reading supplies.  If you are interested in contributing to the bag (bookmarks, stickers, ect), please bring your donation to an upcoming meeting.

All volunteers are encouraged to take the on-line Rotary Protecting Youth training available at https://learn.rotary.org/members/learn/courses/2202/protecting-youth-program-participants-2024-25 or access the program by logging into myrotary.org  Select  Knowledge and Resources tab. Click Youth Protection. Scroll down and select Protecting Youth Program Participants ( online course) the 5 part course does not have to be completed in one session.  It takes about 45 minutes.
