Update on the Our School system

As Superintendent of Norfolk Public Schools, Dr. Melinda J. Boone oversees the education of nearly 31,000 students in our city.  She is the first woman to hold the division's top spot permanently.  Since her appointment in 2015, more of the division’s schools have reached full accreditation: twenty-eight are fully accredited this year, up from 17 when Boone arrived.
