CHAIR RESPONSIBILITIES: Seek input and assistance from committee members to execute our club's annual major fund-raiser. Committee duties include: (1) Select non-profit organization to be third charity (along with Norfolk Rotary Charities and the Norfolk Botanical Gardens); (2) Reach out to previous sponsors and develop new sources of donations; (3) Through liaison with Finance Committee, develop budget and maintain strict financial controls; (4) Organize supporting elements, e.g., entertainment, security, tents, food vendors, beer/wine, etc.; (5) Widely market/advertise event using all possible means to maximize ticket sales; (6) Recruit event support volunteers for specific times/tasks; (7) Oversee final reports, accounting for all income/expenses and distribution of collected funds.
