Polio Plus: What Every Rotarian Should Know!

Colleen Bonadonna is the current Polio Plus Chair and an Area Governor in District 7600, a Rotary Foundation Major Donor, member of the Bequest Society and two-time past president of the Rotary Club of West Point.  

She has been awarded Rotary International’s Regional Service Award for a Polio-Free World, The Rotary Foundation District Service Award, Club Builder Award and was highlighted in the 2011 Rotary Foundation Annual report for her efforts in building awareness for the Polio Plus Campaign.

She is a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator, district trainer and has held district chair positions for; water & sanitation, international service and, district conference ad committee.  She has participated in nine Polio NID trips to India and Nigeria, led a GSE Team to South Korea, and was a team member with two service projects to Honduras.  In 2010-11 she spoke to 200 Clubs in 200 days to promote the Polio Plus efforts raising awareness and over $8500. 

Colleen lives in Barhamsville, Virginia with husband Dan and two springer spaniels, she enjoys volunteer service and international travel especially when the two are combined.
