Adults and young adults are needed to help on Saturday, June 9th from 9 a.m. until Noon with installation of  700 "oyster castles" on the Lafayette River.  The 100 feet of reef will protect the site from erosion and create habitat.  The effort is sponsored by the Lafayette Wetlands Partnership and the Elizabeth River Project, collaborators on the ongoing initiative to install oyster reefs locally.

ATTIRE - Please bring gloves and wear shoes that can get muddy--bring waders and/or muck boots if you have them.  Consider wearing long-sleeves.

AGE - This will be hard work, so please, no young children.

PARKING - Please park along Sylvan Street and carpool if possible.

RSVP - (ASAP) Grace Saunders, gsaunders@elizabethriver.org, or 757-399-7487.
