Barraud Park, Norfolk

Our second cleanup for the city of Norfolk.  The city parks have seen usage increase because of social distancing and the pandemic.  This has caused an increase in the accumulation of trash in our city parks.

Barraud Park is near Lindenwood Elementary School and located off Tidewater Drive using Vista Street to get to the park.  Park is near where Tidewater crosses the Lafayette River.  I mention Vista St because my GPS did not take me to the park with the shown address, so remember Vista St.  We will be cleaning up the front of the park where the tennis courts and the picnic pavilions are located.

The City will supply gloves, bags, and pick-up sticks   We will meet at the tennis court parking lot, near the entrance of the park using Vista St.

We are limited to 10 people at any time. Everyone must wear closed toe shoesand a mask. We will provide a quick safety brief before we get started.  We will also provide maps.

Let's hope for a cool cloudy but dry day for this service project...should be a great day to socialize outdoors while improving our community.
