UPDATE on studies at Oxford University as a Global Grant Recipient

Rotary scholarships provide an opportunity for Rotarians to invest in future leaders and philanthropists. And for the recipient the opportunity to impact the lives of others to promote peace and goodwill across the globe.  Ross Wood is one of those future leaders.  Ross is a former Peace Scholar supported by the district and the Rotary Club of Norfolk having studied at Bradford University in England approximately ten years ago. Much of his career work thereafter was in South Sudan and Ethiopia in important humanitarian positions serving those populations in need of food and vital supplies. This past year with the financial support of the Rotary Foundation, Rotary District 7600, the Rotary Club of Norfolk, the Blackwell Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Richmond Ross was awarded a prestigious Rotary Global Grant Scholarship for his Phd studies at Oxford University.  Below he provides an update of his past year there and how this investment in his education  -develops scholars dedicated to service.
