District Governor - Diane Hagemann
State of the District 7600

Diane Hagemann was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia.  She earned her B.A. in American History and English from the College of William and Mary and her M. Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Leadership also from William and Mary.Diane has worked in the non-profit sector for most of her career.  She has held managerial positions with the William and Mary Alumni Society, the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Virginia, and the American Cancer Society. Her fields of expertise are special event management, volunteer management, fund-raising and training.

Diane has a passion for Rotary.  She has been a Rotarian since 1994 and is a member and Past President of the Rotary Club of the Virginia Peninsula.  She has also served her club as Tennis Ball Chairman, Programs Chairman, Sergeant at Arms, Club Secretary, chaired various Club committees and is a member of the Costa Rica Project team.

  • GSE Peninsula Regional Planning Committee 2004-2012
  • District Membership Chair 2011-2014
  • District Conference Co-Chair 2011-2012
  • Presenter at the 2010 Montreal International Convention

Diane is also a Paul Harris +3 Fellow and a Benefactor.

Diane enjoys playing the piano, collecting old movie posters and memorabilia and needlework.  Diane is married to her wonderful husband Drew (also a Paul Harris Fellow), who works at NASA, and is a decorated Vietnam combat veteran. When their schedules allow, they love to travel to Wyoming and Montana to enjoy hiking, fishing, horseback riding and photography. Diane and Drew reside in Newport News.
